Piet Hein tunnel

Project description

The Piet Hein Tunnel is 1900 m long including 1260 m immersed tunnel length and two approaches. The tunnel is part of the city’s connection with the Eastern Ring Road and for new to develop residential parts of the town. To accommodate traffic and public transportation demands two dual carriageway tubes and a metro tube are designed.

Scope of work

To review the design of the municipality of Amsterdam. Cost savings and alternatives were developed for the civil structures of the tunnel works.
